Water Jet Children

If you make your way down Interstate 675 near Saginaw, you'll likely see something that catches your eye on top of the Mid-Michigan Children's Museum.

Giant, multicolored, 12-foot tall children standing on the roof.

Each child is about six feet wide, as well, and weights approximately 700 pounds.

So, where did they come from?

They were created by eight workers at the Merrill Tool and Machine shop in Merrill, Michigan. Using water jet machines, these children were fabricated from one-quarter inch steel plates

H&H Precision Wire works with water jet machines, as well as CNC lathes, CNC mills, wire EDMs, Swiss screw machines, and more. Visit our website to learn more about our capabilities, or give us a call at (717) 567-9600.

Guitar Machining with a CNC

Here's something really neat that a CNC machine is capable of doing -- cutting out and machining a guitar! Before the guitar reached this step, it was built in a 3D modeling program, and then programmed into a computer cutting program to give the CNC instructions on how to cut. What you'll see below are the necessary holes being cut out of the guitar's base, and the actual shaping of the guitar's face by the CNC machine.
